Redtorch is seeking a sport-loving, number-crunching Senior Research and Insights Manager to lead our Research and Performance Lab that work with some of the world’s biggest sports organisations and brands.

This is a mid-management and team leadership role – it would suit someone who wants to take the next step in their career, gain responsibility and make a big difference in an agency.

What will you be responsible for?
- Lead all audience and market research projects
- Work with team members to analyse and interpret data, ensuring the key insights and stories are drawn out (to improve digital and social media performance)
- Oversee all stages of research and performance projects, ensuring that high standards are met, ensuring fieldwork runs smoothly and project timings are followed closely
- Designing, scripting and analysing online surveys
- Developing effective client relationships by understanding their research needs and keeping them updated during the lifecycle of a project
- Support the end-to-end delivery of high-quality projects, agreeing scope and timelines with clients, supporting more junior colleagues
- Support the Directors in executing the growth plan across our portfolio of clients. You’ll help to develop and capitalise on existing client business and help on pitches for new business through secondary research
- Deciding on and managing the research tools the team needs to best perform within a budget
Team development
- Lead and develop the team across a broad range of skill sets, levels and abilities
- Manage a team on a day-to-day basis – setting and monitoring progress of work so that is in delivered on time and within budget
- Knowledge sharing with internal teams to ensure our most interesting data and effectiveness thinking is showing up in the work.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Successful track record in Market Research or Business Intelligence
- Experience of international or global research studies employing a mix of methodologies – qual and quant.
- Good hands-on analysis skills using Excel for quant data. Able to pull down and model data, comfortable analysing market and operational data.
- High degree of numeracy and literacy
- Working knowledge of GlobalWebIndex and Google Analytics
- Experience working with survey programming software such as SurveyMonkey
- Strong communication skills — excelling at crisp headlines and communicating deep, insightful research
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and deliver against deadlines
- Ability to thrive under pressure
- Self-motivated, organised and prepared to work under pressure
