For nine consecutive years, Redtorch has been an integral part of FISE World Series Montpellier, providing support to Hurricane to deliver captivating live social media coverage of Europe’s biggest action sports festival.

This year’s festival saw FISE cover nine disciplines including BMX Freestyle Park, BMX Freestyle Flatland, BMX Street, BMX Spine, Roller, Skateboard, Scooter, Breaking, and Parkour.

The aim was simple: to share these sports and the values they carry – freedom and creativity – with as many people as possible. To achieve this, Redtorch offered a number of services to deliver highly engaging content to avid fans and new audiences alike, including:

  • Copywriting and content posting
  • Live social media coverage of each event including reporting on latest results and capturing the biggest tricks, craziest wipe-outs and athlete reactions
  • Athlete interviews

FISE Montpellier also plays host to the Urban Sports Summit. The conference brings together key decision makers in sport to share their knowledge and help shape the future of urban sports.

Redtorch CEO/Founder Jonny Murch conducted a keynote session titled “Beyond the stereotypes: Unpacking urban sports audiences” on Friday 19 May.

He delved into the prevailing stereotypes surrounding urban sports fans and athletes and shed light on the extensive research conducted that shows the reality is far more complex than may first appear.
