UK Sport required research insights to help shape their strategy for growing urban sports that are on the Olympic programme, including the creation of a dedicated urban sports event.

The Work

We analysed and defined urban sports, segmenting their audiences by demographic, socio-economic, and geographic factors to create detailed audience profiles. Our work identified optimal event locations and the appropriate mix of sports for integration into the event programme, tailored to the chosen locations.

Additionally, our research highlighted commercial brands investing in urban sports, as well as various ticketing models and pricing strategies, to inform future commercial opportunities. Redtorch consultants developed a comprehensive strategy to build and grow an audience for the urban sports event.
