A 3-year absence and 2 years of virtual isolation left FISE fans hungry to engage onsite and online.  

The growing popularity of action sports as BMX Freestyle and Skateboard made their Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 presented an opportunity to engage a fresh fanbase and extend the FISE family. 

As the world’s biggest action sports festival returned for its 25th edition in May 2022, there was huge importance on delivering content with greater meaning and purpose than ever before.  


Redtorch’s unrivalled action sport and FISE World Series expertise were brought on to deliver FISE Montpellier for its 8th year.

The solution was simple – reach and engage more action sports fans in more places with the live event content they’ve been craving.

A 3-part communications plan structured content by event phase: pre, during and post. Pre-event content focused on generating conversation and excitement, during event content consisted of live coverage, while post-event content aimed to convert new fans to brand advocates.

We used platform-specific tactics every step of the way to communicate with our audience in an authentic way. Featured content, Instagram Reels, collaborations, industry leading photography, and 24/7 live event coverage (378 posts and 447 Instagram Stories over 5 days) gave fans the full event experience.

A comprehensive paid media plan ensured we reached as many action sports fans as possible while driving engagement.
